The Galaxy S7 has been well-documented ahead of the official debut on February 21st. We know what the specs are thanks to Evan Blass (evleaks) and that there will be two devices, the S7 and S7 edge. Both of which will include a QHD AMOLED display, 12 megapixel rear-facing camera, and a microSD card slot. What is most interesting about the leaks that were reported was the inclusion of IP68 water-resistance. That seems to be confirmed from an official Samsung page that we found.

Galaxy S7 underwater

The page that we found shows off a few shots of the Galaxy S7 duo with different catch phrases going over the features of the upcoming devices. One of the quotes listed shows off a Galaxy S7 which appears to be underwater with the phrase “worry-less discovery”. To top that off, the page also shows off a YouTube video features none other that the Galaxy S7 edge in the rain.

The video, which is unlisted shows off an Indonesian woman using what appears to be the Galaxy S7 edge in a few different scenes. It doesn’t give us much information that we already don’t know, but the fact that she is using the device in the rain seems to affirm the fact that both devices will be IP68 rated.

Galaxy S7 camera

On top of the water-resistance, Samsung seems to be pushing their new camera, which like we mentioned should be 12 megapixels. It is a smaller sensor, but comes with much larger pixel, so it should be excellent in low-light. Samsung follows this up by an image of the camera and the phrase “bring light to the night”, which adds further credibility to their updated camera.
