The Galaxy Note 5 has been making headlines every day it seems. From purported renders of the device to the device getting an expedited release to combat the iPhone 6s Plus. Now, thanks to a website that makes 3-D models called Humster3D, we have our best look at what could be the phone of the year.
There are both images and a fully rotatable 3-D model available to get your Galaxy Note 5 fever in high-gear. The device maintains much of the same shape as its smaller siblings, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. The only difference on the Note 5 would be the larger size, S-Pen, and the rounded back.
The back of the Note 5 has a similar shape to the front of the Galaxy S6 edge. The edges of the device curve down into the chassis which will definitely give it a more ergonomic feel. Due to the Note 5 being larger and slightly thicker, the camera on the back of the device only protrudes slightly, which is a welcomed change.
For a refresher, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to ship with the Exynos 7422 processor backed by 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It is unknown what the clock speeds are on the 7422, but I’m sure they will be higher than the Exynos 7420. The device will have an AMOLED QHD display coming in at 5.7 inches. Expect the same 16 megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/1.9 aperture and the 5 megapixel front-facing camera found on the S6/S6 edge.
The Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be announced alongside the Galaxy S6 edge+ on August 12th. Samsung will then expedite the release date to August 21st, ahead of IFA 2015 to beat the iPhone 6s Plus out of the gate.
