We said this last time and we’ll say it again, it’s been a long-time coming for Cortana to hit Android. A while back in May, we Microsoft officially announced that Cortana, their version of a voice-assistant would be hitting Android in June. Well, if you checked your calendar recently, you would find we are well into July, but the APK file for Cortana has leaked.
Although the Siri and Google Now competitor hasn’t been officially released, popular APK file host website APK Mirror has obtained an early copy of the application that is ready for you to install on your Android device.
I have had a little bit of time to play with it, and the app is definitely more conversational and life-like than Google Now. It is very comparable to Siri, the only problem is Cortana can’t be heavily integrated into the UI due to the fact that it is just an application.
