Sign up to beta test Android Marshmallow on Galaxy Note 5, S6 edge, and S6 edge+

Android Marshmallow wasn’t as large of an update as Android Lollipop was, but it is still a very important update. It brings a lot of new features and cleans up some issues that Lollipop brought along. Even though Marshmallow has been out since October, Samsung still hasn’t pushed out an update for any of their devices yet, but we found a way that you might be able to.

Samsung uses a company to facilitate signing up for their betas, but it is only given to select users. I was able to dig up the original link and it turns out that the Android Marshmallow is available for a few Samsung devices. Those devices include the AT&T Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G925A), AT&T Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920A), Verizon Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G925V), and Verizon Galaxy S6 edge+ (SM-G928V).

Once you select your device, it will bring you to the next page where you will be prompted to enter your software version and your device’s IMEI number. The last page asks for your current location, name, and email address. Once that is complete, all you can do is wait.

Signing up for this won’t guarantee you the Android Marshmallow update, but it worth a try. Be sure to let us know if you get selected to participate.
