Several Sony Xperia 1 VIII variants have appeared in the Wireless Power Consortium’s Qi database, confirming 15W wireless charging support for additional model numbers of Sony’s latest flagship.
The listings show the Xperia 1 VIII certified with Qi 2.1.0 support using the Extended Power Profile, with a maximum load power of 15W. While that does not appear to reveal any major new hardware detail, it does confirm that multiple Xperia 1 VIII variants have now passed through the WPC database.
The newly spotted listings include model numbers XQ-GE14, XQ-GE14, XQ-GE24, XQ-GE44, and XQ-GE74, all certified on July 2, 2026. These join the previously listed XQ-GE54 variant, which appeared in the database earlier.
That suggests Sony has continued certifying additional regional or market-specific Xperia 1 VIII SKUs following the phone’s June release. This is not the first appearance of the device itself, but the certifications help fill in the picture around the phone’s broader variant lineup and wireless charging support.
Whether any of these newly certified models are intended for the U.S. market remains to be seen. The WPC database confirms the model numbers and wireless charging details, but it does not provide regional availability information.
