OnePlus One Lollipop

OnePlus One users have been waiting for Android Lollipop on their devices ever since it was formally released in November. Multiple issues arose, but the good news is that both Oxygen OS and CyanogenMod Lollipop variatns are on their way and will be released before the end of March.

Cyanogen’s CM 12S was expected to be released in early February, but OnePlus ran into some issues with their old counterpart. This was caused by Cyanogen’s partnership with Micromax in India. Since that has since been resolved in court, the CM 12S will be hitting the airwaves on or before March 30, 2015.

Since their spat with Cyanogen, OnePlus decided start their own development on their in-house ROM titled Oxygen OS. This was delayed due to software bugs including the camera, WiFi, and other drivers. They wanted to put their best foot forward and did not want to release an unfinished product. Oxygen OS will be available for download on or before March 27, 2015.

To top it off, if OnePlus misses their deadline of March 27, 2015, they are offering up five 64 GB OnePlus One devices to giveaway to their fans.

Now that Lollipop for the OnePlus One is on the horizon, will you go with Oxygen OS or stick with CyanogenMod? Let us know!
