Latest on the Xperia Z3 Compact: New leaks and specs

0

Earlier this month, we posted about the expected specs and rumors of the Xperia Z3, which is coming with a 5.15″ display. The Z3 Compact, is just as it sounds, a smaller version of the full-sized Z3. It comes in with a very average 4.5″ display, at a resolution of 720p. While the regular sized Xperia remains popular, more and more phone manufacturers are going for alternate designs of their flagships that are smaller. The Xperia Z3 Compact’s main competition in that category would be the Galaxy Alpha and the iPhone 6 4.7″. Sony looks to continue to build off the Z1S and Z2’s success, and it seems they are on the right path. The Z3 Compact looks to be debuting along side it’s full-sized counterpart on September 3rd.

Below you can see the newest leaked images of the Z3 Compact. It looks to retain the quick-disconnect magnetic charging port, which more companies should follow suit. It also cuts down on extra openings by putting the microUSB charging port and the microSD card slot under the same seal. The buttons appear to be a bit larger, and continue to be well placed at a comfortable location on the edge of the device.
