HTC One M9 image leaks are real, but decoys

0

The last few days have been great for HTC fans. Not only did we get our first renders of the HTC One M9, but we’ve even seen clear shots thanks to Phandroid. According to HTC Source, these images are real, but they represent prototypes of the device and are not the finished product.

According to their source, the decoy units look totally different than what Hima will become. The real design has an edge-to-edge glass panel, BoomSound speakers with an all-new minimal design, and a large camera in the center of the top of the device.

The BoomSound speakers will now just be slits at the top and bottom of the device, nudged up to the edges of the device. The will stray away from the standard grilles we’ve seen on the One M7, One M8, and One M9 prototype.

While the externals on the device will stray from what we’ve seen now, the internals will all be the same. That means there will still be a Snapdragon 810 processor, backed by 3 GB of RAM, a 5 inch FHD display, and come with HTC Sense 7.0 atop Android 5.0 Lollipop.

What are your thoughts on the decoy units? Are you glad that the M9 images are not the real device or are disappointed their changing an already great design? Let us know!
