The news on LineageOS 15.0 has been little to none as the team has been working on the official builds. While there have been unofficial builds of LineageOS 15.0 appearing on XDA, the official channel hasn’t seen any. Although Lineage doesn’t comment on official release dates, they have informed us that they will be skipping 15.0 builds and jump straight to 15.1.

Android 8.1 was officially announced on December 5 and pushed into the Android Open Source Project. With that being said, Lineage has decided to move straight into developing LineageOS 15.1. All of the previous progress from LineageOS 15 will be merged into the 15.1 branch. As progress continues on the official builds, updates from Lineage will be more common.

If you can’t wait to get your hands on Android 8.0 Oreo through LineageOS, be sure to visit XDA. Plenty of unofficial LineageOS 15.0 builds are available for devices such as the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, OnePlus 2, and many more. To stay updated on official LineageOS news, be sure to keep an eye on the official website: https://www.lineageos.org/.
