8 hours remain in OnePlus’s ‘Blizzard of Invites’

Relatively new phone manufacturer OnePlus has recently released their phone the One, and there is only one way to get one. You need to either know someone who already has one or win an invite through a contest.
The One is a flagship itself boasting a 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, and a Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor running with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset. What makes this device so unique is that it isn’t made by a major manufacturer such as Apple, Samsung, or HTC, but it still comes with major specs at a major price difference. The 16GB version comes at a reasonable $299.99 and $349.99 for the 64GB model. Considerably less than its competitors with the same specs.
If you were looking to get your hands on this device, now is your time. OnePlus is running a campaign titled ‘Blizzard of Invites’ and they are giving away 5,000 invites to purchase their phone. With only 8 hours remaining, there are over 175,000 entries. You can gain an entry for following them on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and even posting on their forum. Assuming everyone has used their 4 entries, that’s a minimum of at least 43,000+ people. At that number, roughly 1/10 people will get an invite. Though it’s assumed that not everyone used all 4 entries so the odds of getting an invite are slim, but it’s worth a shot if you want a crack at this ‘flagship killer’.
