Xiaomi was one of the first companies to really push the bezel-less revolution with last year’s Mi MIX. The device had a massive 6.4 inch display that was packed into a nearly bezel-less package. Today, it was announced that the successor to that device, the Mi MIX 2, will be announced on September 11.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is expected to take last year’s device to the next level, having even smaller bezels. The new design is being dubbed as the “revolutionary 2.0 bezel-less display.” French designer Philippe Starck actually teased a work in progress video showing off what the device could look, which can be seen below.

The device is expected to retain its 6.4 inch display, but this year’s model will be upgraded from a FHD LCD panel to a QHD AMOLED panel. On top of that, the Mi MIX 2 is rumored to have a 93% screen  to body ratio compared to 83% of the original Mi MIX. Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of base storage.
