The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, arguably going to be a couple of the most popular Android devices of 2016, will debut today in Barcelona just ahead of Mobile World Congress. The S7 and S7 edge may have been the most documented Galaxy S device thanks to the plethora of leaks from none other than Evan Blass.
We know the S7 duo will come with some key features the S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, and Note 5 lacked, which was IP68 water-resistance and a microSD card slot. This was highly criticized on last year’s models so it is good to see Samsung listening to their customers. As far as specs, both devices will feature a QHD AMOLED display, 12.1 megapixel rear-facing camera, 3,000 mAh battery on the S7, 3,600 mAh battery on the S7 edge, metal and glass construction, and a Snapdragon 820 processor (in North America) and 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
The live stream for the Unpacked 2016 event will begin at 12:00 PM (CST) and you can watch it right here! Be sure to let us know your thoughts on the upcoming devices and if you will be picking one up.
