Sony going even more waterproof?

0

The latest news to come from Sony is a tweet stating “We’ll be getting deep at #IFA2014. But how deep..?” with the picture seen below.

Sony has been leading the charge making their flagship devices waterproof. Currently, their Z1S and Z2 come with an IP 58 rating, which is good for immersion beyond 1 meter, but no greater than 1.5 meters according to Sony. In the picture, it shows on arrow pointing down above 2m. This suggests that Sony could be releasing the most waterproof smartphone to date.

We’ll find out at IFA 2014, on September 3rd when Sony holds their presser. Could it be related to the Z3? We’ll have to wait and see.
