The Razer Phone has been kept under wraps pretty well for a first smartphone release. We knew what the main specs were thanks to a GFXBench listing. We also saw our first leaked image of the device, giving us a glimpse of what Razer was going to do. Today, its seems a carrier got a little excited ahead of tomorrow’s announcement, posting all the device’s details.
Not only does the product page show off a picture of the new Razer Phone, it also headlines its best attributes. For me, the most interesting spec is the 5.7 inch 120Hz display. No mainstream Android phone has featured a 120Hz display, so this will be a first. It will definitely be a great phone to game on if this is the case.
Accompanying the display on the front will be dual front-facing speakers. The speakers also feature Dolby ATMOS sound, so they should pack a punch. For what it’s worth, the speakers are THX certified. That doesn’t mean much, considering Razer owns THX as well.
As for the rest of the specs, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor backed by 8GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM, and a massive 4000mAh battery. The dual camera setup comes with a 12 megapixel shooter with an f/1.75 aperture partnered with a 13 megapixel camera with 2.6x optical zoom. Similar to that of the iPhone 8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8. It would be a smart to assume the Razer Phone will feature a portrait mode.
The Razer Phone will be debuted tomorrow via live stream. That can be found here.
