Back in April 2014 Microsoft announced their acquisition of Nokia for 7 Billion Dollars .
Now Nokia is slowly getting over their transition stage on being a full part of Microsoft. From Nokias packaging turning white to Nokia completely losing its name and be left with “Lumia”, the official Microsoft phone brand. Right now, Nokia will be slowly changing their social media names to Microsoft Lumia and it will be starting in France. So expect further pages from now to change too. Apart from that, you might have noticed that when you go to www.nokia.com you are redirected to www.microsoft.com/en-ph/mobile.
It’s sad to say that one of the pioneers of mobile phones are going to be gone soon. Before the dawn of smartphones, Nokia was the big thing.
