Recently, it was rumored that Samsung would abandon the Snapdragon 810 processor, at least for the initial distribution of the Galaxy S6. This was due to the Snapdragon 810 having overheating issues. Instead of sporting a Qualcomm made chipset, they will move to their in-house Exynos 7420.

A new listing on Geekbench has surfaced with the Exynos 7420 backing an unknown device, which could be the Galaxy S6. The scores show the device running at 1.5 GHz with all 8 cores engaged to get 5478 on the multi-core test. On the single-core test the Exynos 7420 scored 1520.

The score also shows the device running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop as the OS with a full 3 GB of RAM. These specs on the score sheet match up with what BGR reported earlier.
