Essential, the newly made phone company by Andy Rubin, also known as the “Father of Android” has been teasing an upcoming smartphone for sometime. While the Essential brand has been floating around for awhile, we now know when we get our first big announcement.Today, Rubin took to his Twitter to announce Essential’s official Twitter account. The tweets can be seen below.

Almost ready to share with you what we’ve been up to. Please follow our new twitter handle @essential and stay updated…

Hi, welcome to our Twitter page. We’re here to let you know something big is coming May 30th! Stay tuned…

— Essential (@essential) May 25, 2017

The Essential phone is a near bezel-less phone that focuses on artificial intelligence. On top of that, it is expected to be a very high-end device and work seamlessly with IoT devices. Some rumors of the device have it sporting a 5.5 inch elongated display, similar to the LG G6. Powering the device is expected to be the Snapdragon 835 processor with 4 GB of RAM. Aside from the rumors and device running the latest version of Android, we don’t know much, but we definitely will after May 30th.
