OnePlus has run into something of a road block in India, after the ban imposed on them because of Micromax’s lawsuit regarding the use of the CyanogenMod OS. That said, the company has been working on developing its own OS, now known as the Oxygen OS. The alpha build for the same is already available to OnePlus One users, while a new version will be made available on February 12.
While OnePlus claims to have doing this tomorrow as a part of celebration but reports suggest that the date is chosen strategically. Tomorrow is also the day when Xiaomi sells its newly launched flagship Mi4 smartphone in India for the first time. The device had often been touted as the only competitor to the OnePlus One.
Both the devices are sharing the same specs, only the One has a bigger display and higher storage space. While the Mi4 is priced at Rs. 19,999, the OnePlus One costs Rs. 21,999.
