Android M will make an appearance at Google I/O 2015

Update: The “Android for Work” category at Google I/O 2015 has since been deleted. Now more than ever, it seems as if Google is set to debut their next big update to Android, they just don’t want us to know about it yet!

It is that time of year again, and the Google I/O developers conference is nearly upon us. Just today, Google published the official schedule and it comes with a few surprises. Android M might debut in the “Android for Work” keynote scheduled at 2:30 PM PST on May 28th.

Last year, Google showed off their heavily overhauled version of Android, dubbed ‘Android L’ for the time being, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Android M received the same treatment. If it is anything like last year, a developer preview of Android M should follow shortly thereafter.

Android M has had many rumors over names such as Muffin, Marshmallow, Macaroon, Meringue (shout-out to ‘Lemon Meringue Pie’), and even Mousse. Of all of those, which would you prefer? I’m leaning towards Muffin; short, sweet, and to the point.
