The Galaxy S6 edge+ has been one of the most talked about phones so far this year, with a lot information being leaked out. The Galaxy S6 edge created waves this year with its dual-edged display, and Samsung would like to capitalize on their design by making a larger Plus variant. Today we learned that it will be launched as the Galaxy S6 edge+.
Awhile back, it was revealed that the S6 edge+ would employ Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 processor instead of the Snapdragon 810 and the powerful Exynos 7420. It was unknown why, but the device was expected to be a cheaper option than the Note 5. Now however, SamMobile is reporting that the S6 edge+ will come with the same processor as the Galaxy S6/S6 edge.
Along with the implementation of Exynos 7420 processor, it will also use 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It is expected to have a 5.7 inch QHD AMOLED display just like the Galaxy Note 5, but it will not come with the S-Pen feature. It will also come in Silver, Gold, Black, and White.
The Galaxy S6 edge+ will also see an announcement on the same day as the Galaxy Note 5, which is August 12th. On top of that, it will be released on August 21st, well ahead of the launch of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
