OnePlus announced a new NeverSettle contest yesterday in its forums via which it will pick 100 winners who will get the first India-specific invites to buy the OnePlus One phone. The contest is open for 48 hours only.
OnePlus One, the self proclaimed ‘Flagship Killer’, packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with its four cores clocked at 2.5GHz. The phone has 3GB of RAM and a 5.5 inch Full HD screen. The phone will come in two variants, 16GB Silk White and 64 GB Sandstone Black. In the camera department, it has a 13 MP rear camera which we didn’t like that much but the front facing 5 MP camera with a wide angle lens performs well.
In related news, OnePlus also announced it is setting up an aftersale support system in India and will also cater to people who have already bought the phone from overseas or have an international version of the OnePlus One. As per the rumors and forum reports till now, it is likely that OnePlus One will see a December launch.
