The LG Nexus 5X has leaked again, shows device at new angle

September 29th is fast approaching, which is the rumored announcement date of the upcoming Google Nexus devices. The most talked about Nexus device is most definitely the upcoming Nexus which is made by LG. The LG made Nexus 5 was one of the most successful devices to ever come from Google, and it has left consumers clamoring for a redux.

That day is almost assuredly upon us as a new image of what is known internally as the Nexus 5X has leaked out. Previously, the rear of the Nexus 5X leaked out courtesy of AndroidPit. They must have sweet talked their source a little more, because now we have an image that shows off the side of the device.

Nexus 5X side

The Nexus 5X shows off similar button placement to the Nexus 6 of last year, which have both volume buttons and power buttons on the same side. The source wouldn’t divulge if the chassis of the device is made up of metal, but they said “probably not”. You can also see the camera hump is quite tall, something I wish they would fill out with battery to eliminate.

Nexus 5X vs Nexus 5

AndroidPit also compared the original Nexus 5 to the Nexus 5X in the image seen above, and they definitely look related. The new device looks a little more streamlined and looks sleeker. You can tell that the 5X is also significantly thinner than the 5. Just like the Nexus 5, the 5X is expected to come in soft touch black, white, and a new blue color.
