It happens every time Google releases an update. We know that Nexus devices get it right away, but for users with other devices, such as ones from HTC or Samsung, they have to wait a little longer. Well, for those of you who have Samsung devices, a road map detailing when certain Galaxy devices will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been spotted.

Samsung Galaxy Android Marshmallow

The updates have been split up into two phases, with the most recent Galaxy devices getting Android Marshmallow first. At the earliest, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ are scheduled to receive the Android Marshmallow update in December of this year. All of these times are estimates, so delays could cause some longer time frames. The Galaxy S6/S6 edge duo are slated for January of 2016 and the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note edge are slated for February of 2016. All of the aforementioned devices updates have been approved.

It’s interesting that the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Alpha are still in Phase 1, but there is no ETA just yet, the status is “waiting approval”. Phase 2 consists of the Galaxy A3. A5. A7, A8, E5, and E7; all of which are “waiting approval” and have no ETA.
