When the word got out that OnePlus would release two devices in 2015, many wanted the flagship OnePlus 2 and a smaller, mini variant. OnePlus slightly followed demand with the OnePlus X, but it was more of a budget device that had lower-end specs. All hope is not lost as a possible OnePlus Mini was spotted on GFXBench and it has what we all wanted.
This benchmark shows off a device that is flagship quality in a much smaller package. The OnePlus Mini is expected to come with a 4.6 inch 1080p display, but retain all of the internals of the OnePlus 2. That means the device is sporting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of on-board storage, and of course, no NFC. Along with the smaller screen, the Mini will not have dual-SIM card trays.
If OnePlus were to release another device towards the beginning of 2015, would you be interested? It definitely competes with the iPhone 6, especially with the expected sub-$400 price tag. This still isn’t even close to being official, so be careful what you hear.
