Leaks surrounding the upcoming HTC device, the One M9, also known as “Hima” have been somewhat consistent. Details here and there have been released, most notably from upleaks. Today, NoWhereElse has brought us the best look as to what could be the upcoming HTC device. Their source has given theme two clear shots of the One M9, one of the front of the device and one of the back. These images have since been removed from the their website.
If the HTC One M9 looks similar to its predecessor, the One M8, you wouldn’t be wrong. If it isn’t broken, then why fix it? That seems to be HTC’s mentality going into the design of Hima, and who can blame them? The One M8 was and still is one of the best looking Android phones on the market.
It seems as if the new One device will not sport the metal rim around the edge of the bezel on the front of the device and go with a sealed unibody. This is a welcome change as it makes the device sleeker and more attractive in the design category. Other than the bigger light sensor, not much else has changed on the front of HTC’s flagship device. The backside however, is a different story.
On the back of the HTC One M9 comes an odd, squarish circular camera lens hides what is speculated to be a 20.7 megapixel camera. With the new addition to the bigger camera, the dual camera above, as seen on the M8, got the axe. While the image fails to show it, according to NoWhereElse there will be no more dual camera.
If you would like to a see a comparison of the One M8 and One M9, our friends over at Droid-Life put together some good images to compare the two, so check that out.
