The Lenovo Moto X4, which is slated to be the first non Google phone on  Project Fi, is looking to be quite the device. It has been two years since the last Moto X device was released and the X4 doesn’t look to be skipping a beat. The latest reports from VentureBeat and Evan Blass point towards a powerful and affordable device.

The Moto X has always been a device that has high-end specs at a lower price point. Something very similar to the OnePlus mantra. While the Moto X4 won’t feature the Snapdragon 835 processor, it still packs the Snapdragon 630. The Snapdragon 630 is an octa-core processor with all cores running at 2.2GHz. On the front of the device will be a 5.2 inch full HD panel. The Moto X4 will also come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of base storage that is expandable.

The device will also follow the trend of dual cameras on the back of the device with an 8 and 12 megapixel combo. IP68 water resistance tops off the Moto X4 making it a worthy device in the flagship heavy world. Lastly, the device will have a fingerprint sensor on the front, just like previous Moto phones. Powering the device is a 3,000mAh battery. Housing it all will be an aluminum body.

The Moto X4 is expected to be unveiled in Q4 of 2017 before the holidays. A price has not been offered up just yet, but one would assume it would be affordable. Especially being a member of the Project Fi family.
