Motorola appears to be preparing another addition to its Edge lineup. The unannounced Motorola Edge 70 Max has now surfaced in the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) certification database, confirming both the device’s name and wireless charging certification ahead of an official announcement.

The listing identifies the device with model number XT2611 and assigns it Qi ID 26944. According to the certification, the phone supports the MPP25 power profile and is certified under Qi version 2.2.1. The certification was approved on June 29, 2026.

While the filing doesn’t reveal any hardware specifications beyond its wireless charging support, it serves as one of the first official confirmations that Motorola is working on a device called the Edge 70 Max. Certification databases like the WPC are often one of the final stops before a product is announced, making today’s appearance a strong indication that the launch may not be far away.

Interestingly, the certification also includes a Lenovo-hosted product URL, further confirming the device originates from Motorola’s parent company. The linked page itself doesn’t provide any additional information about the smartphone.

As is typically the case with WPC certifications, details such as the display, processor, cameras, battery capacity, and pricing remain unknown. Those will likely surface through additional regulatory filings or leaks in the coming weeks. Earlier this month, an exclusive report from Digital Citizen claimed the Edge 70 Max would be Motorola’s next flagship, revealing its design and several expected specifications. Today’s Wireless Power Consortium certification doesn’t confirm those details, but it does officially verify the Edge 70 Max branding and model number XT2611

For now, the Wireless Power Consortium listing officially confirms that the Motorola Edge 70 Max exists, carries model number XT2611, and has completed its wireless charging certification ahead of launch.
