iPhone 6s could see an August announcement

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were huge successes for Apple. They brought something that most people thought Apple would never do; increase the screen size drastically. Now, consumers are clamoring over what the iPhone 6s will bring to the table, and it may come sooner than normal.

Usually, Apple devices see a debut and release in September, but sources are saying that Apple has already lined up component suppliers, so they are ahead of schedule. They are so ahead of schedule that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus could be announced in August rather than September.

With how successful the iPhone 6 was last September, Apple definitely does not want to run out of stock the next time around, so it is very good to see that they are already ahead of schedule. Although their hardware may be ahead of schedule, there is still no word on iOS 9, as it hasn’t hit the developer’s phones just yet.

As far as specifications go for the iPhone 6s, it could see the largest hardware jump in Apple history. It is rumored to feature Apple’s new Force Touch display, 2 GB of RAM, a 12 megapixel rear-facing camera, a strengthening chassis, and an improved Touch ID sensor.
