We have come to learn that Apple pushes out major devices every other year, with the year in between having an updated ‘s’ model take its place. This has been done with the iPhone 4/5 and seems to be on pace to happen to the iPhone 6. According to TechNews Taiwan (backed by MacRumors), not only will there be an iPhone 6s, but it will have 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM instead of 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
The new RAM expected to appear in the iPhone 6s will not only increase power, but it will also have less power consumption than current RAM in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. According to the source, the LPDDR4 RAM modules will be supplied by Samsung, Hynix. and Micron-Elpida, who was the supplier for 6/6 Plus models.
The iPhone 6s will see camera upgrades that have dual-lens DSLR quality to go along with boosted RAM will be backed up by the new A9 chipset.
