More than a decade ago, FWNED launched as a small technology news website built around a simple idea: share interesting stories about the devices and technology people use every day.
Like many passion projects, life eventually got in the way. The site slowed down, updates became less frequent, and over time FWNED went dormant.
For nearly ten years, the name remained online, but the site was no longer what it once was.
Today, that changes.
FWNED is officially back.
Over the past several months, I’ve been rebuilding the site from the ground up with a renewed focus on mobile technology news, smartphone leaks, certifications, regulatory filings, benchmarks, and the stories that often appear long before a product is officially announced.
The relaunch includes a completely refreshed visual identity, a modernized design, and a new publishing platform built to support faster and more consistent coverage.
While the technology has changed dramatically over the past decade, the mission remains the same: deliver interesting, accurate, and timely technology news for readers who want to stay ahead of what’s coming next.
Many of the biggest smartphone stories begin long before a launch event. They start with an FCC filing, a certification database entry, a benchmark result, or a model number quietly appearing online. Those early discoveries are the stories FWNED will be focused on uncovering and reporting.
Whether you’ve been around since the site’s early days or you’re visiting for the first time, thank you for being here.
This relaunch isn’t about looking back.
It’s about building something new.
Welcome back to FWNED.
