OnePlus is trickling out information about its highly-anticipated OnePlus 2 every few days. First, we found out that the device will be powered by the latest version of the Snapdragon 810 processor. After that, we found out that the OnePlus 2 would be one of the first mainstream devices to feature a USB Type C connector. Today, it was announced that the device would be unveiled July 27th.
OnePlus will be holding a keynote to announce their second ever smartphone, but there’s an additional catch. OnePlus will be the first company to ever hold product launch in virtual reality. Yes, you read that correctly. While announcing the OnePlus 2 to the world, fans will be able to stream the keynote live in VR.
Fans will be able to stand next to the OnePlus team and will be able to check the device out first-hand. Not only that, but there will be hidden Easter eggs along the way. What they will be, is unknown.
To top it all off, OnePlus is making their own version of Google Cardboard tailored towards the OnePlus One to view the live event with. The headsets aren’t available as of now, but will be free according to the forum post. You can find that link here.
