The 1byone 3-Speed Portable Turntable is an excellent purchase for someone who wants to reconnect with their youth or someone looking to experiment with a simpler time. At $78.99, it isn't the most expensive one out there, but it gets the job done.

There’s nothing like a little throwback right? Whether you have old records or you want to listen to music in the “purest form”, turntables are hard to come by. The majority are probably in a dump somewhere, but vinyls are making a comeback. 1byone was nice enough to send us their latest 3-speed Portable Turntable to review.
Design
The 1byone Turntable comes in a very convenient package. At first glance, you might think it’s a suitcase, but with a closer look you can see the front facing speakers. The Turntable comes enclosed in a nice wood hard shell with a carrying handle, so it is easy to take on the go or to that relatives house who hasn’t listened to their records in years.
The case of the turntable is made out of wood covered in PU leather. It has a very nice feel to it and will keep the device within safe and sound. On the corners of the wooden cabinet are metal stoppers, to give it some extra durability. This device is made to be carried around, so it is built to last.
On the front of the turntable, there are two front-facing speakers, one on either side of the carrying handle. In the middle is a nice metal latch which keeps the lid securely closed and definitely handle being taken places.
The left side of the Turntable is free of an objects, which leads us to the right side. On the right side of the device are all the ports for power and audio. There are the volume knob, headphone port, power inlet, RCA output ports, and even a line-in port.
It was very smart for 1byone to include the two audio options; if you need to keep it down, you can throw on some headphones, but if you are at a party, it is easy to plug it in to some louder speakers. Not only that, but you can plug in your phone and listen to whatever music you’d like.
Opening the turntable up shows off the goods. You are greeted by a white background with a 1byone logo. Having the product branding on the inside is much more preferred than having it on the outside in my opinion. The device allows for 3-speeds: 33/45/78 RPM, so it can take multiple types of vinyls. It also comes with a 45 adapter built right in, so no need to mess around if someone wants to put their favorite 45 on.
Sound
The sound that comes from the 1byone Turntable is very crisp, even through the internal speakers. The speakers can handle any record at mid-range volume, but start to drop off if you push it too loud. That’s nothing to complain about though, due to the fact you can plug it in to external speakers.
Using the RCA to plug in to an external speaker source was the the best inclusion on this product. I can see why people say listening to vinyl is the purest form of listening to music, because the quality is outstanding. Since vinyl is making a comeback through the metal community, I may have to purchase a few to try it out in the future.
One nice feature included on the device is the auto stop switch you can enable. Enabling the auto stop on the turntable will stop the record once the side ends. Making it more convenient to switch over to the other side, not waiting for the device to stop.
Conclusion
At the end of the day, the 1byone 3-speed Portable Turntable is nice bargain looking for someone to relive their youth or the youth connecting with the past. 1byone has made the record player extremely convenient to carry around and even store in the house.
Other than that, the solid build and performance make it a good gift to family member or friend. The basic controls are easy to get under wraps, so it is perfect for an older family member. If you would like to find this product, you can see it on Amazon, and it runs $76.99.
