Razer Phone appears on GFXBench, sports 8GB of RAM, 5.7 inch display

Razer Phone Teaser

It has been rumored for quite awhile that Razer was going to debut an Android phone this year. ever since the company acquired Nextbit. Just yesterday, Razer posted a teaser on Twitter with a link to a livestream for November 1. Their “biggest reveal yet” is undoubtedly going to be the Razer Phone.

While there has been rumblings of a Razer Phone, we haven’t heard any details on what to expect from the phone. That has changed due to a new listing on GFXBench showing off the device’s specs. According to GFXBench, the Razer Phone will run a customized Razer version of Android 7.1.1 out of the box. It will also feature the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835 processor backed by 8GB of RAM. The device will also feature 64GB of on-board storage, but it is unknown if it will be expandable.

Since this is expected to be a gaming phone, it is no surprise that it will feature a 5.7 inch QHD display. We do know that it will have a 16:9 aspect ratio, but we do not know if it will have an LCD or AMOLED panel. The Razer Phone will also sport a 12MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

Camera samples from what could be the upcoming Razer Phone can be seen above. This was posted by Razer’s CEO Min-Liang Tan on Instagram stating “some random test photos with a new camera #nofilter.” If that “new camera” turns out to be the Razer Phone, the device is looking pretty impressive.
