OnePlus 2 is official; will debut Q3 of 2015

OnePlus 2

The OnePlus One has been one of the most successful stories we’ve heard throughout 2014. A company that started in December of 2013 and managed to take on Samsung, HTC, LG, etc., with their low price, high spec mentality is working on their second ever smartphone.

The OnePlus 2 will be the name of the One’s successor, opting for a digit value rather than the word “two”. While the device’s remains the same, there is just a slight tweak. Another change brought along by OnePlus is the release date for the device. According to reports, the OnePlus 2 has been delayed due to “manufacturing challenges with the Snapdragon 810.”

Remember, these Snapdragon issues have been around for sometime. The reason for the late release is probably due to the fact that Samsung and LG get priority over the smaller OnePlus company.

Amid rumors, Qualcomm has assured consumers that the processor is ready to go, whereas companies such as Samsung have rumored to switch to their in-house processor. LG has recently endorsed the processor and says it works as expected.

The room against the Snapdragon 810 processor is growing louder. It doesn’t seem as if these rumors will slow down until the processor is mass produced and distributed.
