It is finally here. Today, OnePlus announced the release of Android Oreo for the OnePlus 3/3T beta channels. The update brings a plenty of new changes, including picture-in-picture mode, smart text selection, auto-fill and new design changes. Since it is still in beta, there are some issues. - Now able to upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus through wallpapers
Known issues:
- Fingerprint actions may be slower than you are used to.
- Shortcut to access Google Photos is unavailable
- Some stability issues with NFC and bluetooth
- Performance and compatibility of 3rd party apps will continue to be optimized
The new update has been pushed via OTA and devices on the latest OxygenOS beta should start receiving it. The build brings the OnePlus 3 up to OxygenOS 25 and the OnePlus 3T to OxygenOS 16. If you are not enrolled in the beta, you can still download the update here.
Along with the update, OnePlus has also opened a form for feedback on the update to Oreo. The survey is meant for only the UI/UX portion of the update.
