Moto X4 specs appear on GFXBench, confirm what we know

Moto X4 feature

The Lenovo Motorola Moto X4 has been hitting the news quite often as of late. First, it was leaked that the X4 was going to be joining Project Fi as the first non-Google phone to use the service. Then the specs got leaked. Following right after the specs was an official press render shown off by Evan Blass. Now we have solid evidence from GFXBench backing previous leaks.

The spec sheet on GFXBench confirm just about everything that was previously reported. The device will come with a Snapdragon 630 processor with all eight cores clocked at 2.2GHz, have a FHD display, and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It also confirms the 16 megapixel front-facing camera as well as the 12 megapixel rear-facing camera. GFXBench doesn’t have a way to show dual camera systems, but the other camera is expected to be 8 megapixels.

There are a few discrepancies however. Previous reports have the device coming with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage, but GFXBench shows otherwise. Now, this could be an entry level model of the Moto X4, or possibly a pre-production device. Just because it shows on GFXBench, doesn’t mean it’s set in stone.

The Moto X4 is expected to be available in Q4 in time for the holiday season. As we mentioned above, it will be the first non-Google phone to be offered with Project Fi. If anything else develops on the X4, we’ll be sure to let you know.
