About a week ago, our good friend Evan Blass detailed the first known information regarding HTC’s upcoming flagship, which is known internally as “Perfume”. He elaborated that the HTC One M10 will come with a QHD AMOLED display that spans 5.1 inches, a 12 UltraPixel rear-facing camera, and a Snapdragon 820 processor. Even though we had that information, we had no tangible evidence of the device, until today.
Evan Blass sure seems to be on quite the hot streak in 2016, leaking detailed information on the S7, G5, and now the M10. Who needs @evleaks when we have the real Evan? Earlier today, he posted the first known image of the HTC One M10 and it looks very different than years past. Most interestingly, it does not include the very disliked “black bar” that housed the HTC logo.
The M10 also has an odd shaped fingerprint sensor which differs from the one found on the HTC One A9. It is more rounded than rectangular, probably to capture a fingerprint more efficiently. It does keep the same overall look of the A9, taking inspiration from the iPhone. The power and volume buttons still reside on the right side, meaning the SIM card and SD card trays are on the left side.
To the right of the in-call speaker is the very large front-facing camera, which is supposed to be a 5 UltraPixel camera. It should do quite well in low light. The antenna bands can be seen on the edges of the device, assuring that it will continue the all aluminum body. One thing missing is the dual front-facing speakers which will leave a sour taste in many consumers mouths.
