Galaxy Note 5 info emerges; details processor and display

Samsung galaxy Note 5

The kings of anything Samsung related, SamMobile, has obtained some new information from their sources about the Galaxy Note 5, otherwise known as ‘Project Noble’, detailing the processor and display possibilities and also whether or not their will be a Note variant.

According to the sources, Samsung is experimenting with both 2K and 4K Super AMOLED displays for the upcoming, with the former being more widely speculated to ship with the final product. The same goes with the processor, which will most likely be the Exynos 7422. They are also testing a 7430 chipset, but it is just an engineering sample and most likely will not see a public release.

An interesting note about the Exynos 7422 processor, is that it will be the company’s first ever all-in-one solution (ePoP). It will combine the CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and the modem all into one single chipset.

Lastly, Samsung’s flagship phablet will only come in one variant, unlike last year with the Note 4 and Note Edge. The edge variant of a phablet is dubbed ‘Project Zen’ and will be a more affordable device than the Galaxy Note 5. It is expected to ship with a 5.4-5.5 inch Super AMOLED dual-edge curved display, S-Pen, and the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor. On top of that, it will have 16 GB of internal storage and sport a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8 megapixel front-facing camera.
