HTC One M10 first details leaked: 5.1 inch QHD AMOLED display, 12 UltraPixel camera

HTC has been on a slippery slope as of late; mainly in part due to the disastrous M9 release and the sub-par showing of the A9. The One M9 was more of a slight upgrade over the One M8 and the One A9, which was dubbed the “hero” device, was less than stellar. Looking forward into 2016, it could be HTC’s biggest year in a long while. They are rumored to be making two Nexus devices and the first leaked details of the HTC One M10 show promise.

Our good friend friend, @evleaks has been on quite the roll as of late. Not only has he zeroed in on the most authentic Galaxy S7 leaks, he now has done the same with the upcoming HTC One M10, or known internally as HTC Perfume. According to his source who had hands-on time with the device, it will be HTC’s “most advanced smartphone ever”. To start things out, the device will run Android 6.0.1 out of the box with Sense 8.0 over the top. Displaying the content will be a 5.1 inch, QHD AMOLED display, a big upgrade from the 5 inch IPS LCD display found on the One M9.

HTC One A9 fingerprint sensor

Just like the One A9, the M10 will come with a fingerprint sensor on the front of the device which will double as a home button. Behind the scenes, the M10 will ship with the Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, and 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. As for storage, it will come with 32 GB of internal storage, with 23 GB available aside from the operating system. The M10 will come with a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

One of the most interesting factors of the HTC One M10 is that they will return to their bread and butter with the UltraPixel camera, although this time it will include a 12 megapixel camera. The HTC One M8 got a mixed showing on its camera, but it performed well in low-light. The HTC One M9, was less than stellar, even though it included a much larger 20 megapixel camera.

The device known as HTC Perfume is expected to be launched after Mobile World Congress sometime. There were no comments on the design as it is still subject to change. We all know how leaks go, once they start they can’t stop, so more information is assured to come out as time passes. Does this leak have you interested in the HTC One M10? Let us know!
